Japanese Grant No. TF 051134 - Preparation
of the Social Protection Reform
Administration Project |
In compliance with the Letter of Agreement from
October 24, 2002, the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) provided
Ukrainian Government (the Recipient) with the Grant.
The goal of the Grant was technical assistance in
Social Protection Reform Administration Project
preparation.
The purposes of the Grant were
to assist
the Recipient in the preparation of the project
whose objectives are the effective and efficient
implementation policies designed to provide a safety
net to the vulnerable, in particular: (i) ensuring
that social benefits are well targeted and delivered
in an efficient and client friendly manner and
reducing fraud and abuse; and (ii) putting in place
necessary overhead functions for program success
including poverty monitoring and public information.
